GSH  = Teamwork, Proven Experience & Professionalism

GSH has grown into one of the largest VFR & IFR helicopter operators in Canada which would not have been possible without our dedicated team who support our customers working throughout Canada, South America and our other International contracts. GSH is known in the industry as being the first Northern based helicopter operator that has supported Canada’s precious mineral and oil and gas exploration from its early stages of development through to its current state of operations. Through our proven experience, our clients can be assured that we understand the challenges of working in remote areas and will be able to efficiently trouble-shoot any challenges they may face in terms of logistics and special operating requirements.

We have successfully completed many large and complex projects through supporting our customers from the first staking rush in the late 1980’s to assisting with the installation of hydro tower systems to supply power and infrastructure to Canada’s vast and isolated northern frontier. We are also recognized as world-leader in wildlife capture techniques through our development of unique strategies to capture or track polar bears, wolves, geese, grizzly bears, and caribou.

GSH is also proud to have pioneered the use of Global Positioning Systems in our aircraft prior to this being common place in the Canadian industry due to our aircraft operating in remote regions of Northern Canada.

Specialties

GSH‘s group of professional crews backed by our management team provide a very wide range of conventional and value added specialty flight operations along with ancillary equipment, some of which was designed and patented as proprietary to GSH. Our aircraft can be equipped with cargo baskets, pods, floats, power line platforms and frost removal devices, camera mounts and FLIR based infrared systems that offer our customers more cargo load options and increase efficiency through offering multi-task flight operations.
