Structures AME

GSH is looking for a Structures AME!

If you are a team player who works efficiently and effectively and has a positive attitude toward safety and customer service, then this position is for you!

Location: Yellowknife, NT
Term:     Full time

Position Profile:

  • The Structures AME Liaises with your Production Manager or Fleet Manager to correct deficiencies on the aircraft or operational equipment that you have been assisted to.
  • Carry out sheet metal and composite repairs to the company fleet of aircraft as identified by the Production Manager or his designate.
  • Verifies that all parts being ordered for the projects are required.
  • Enforce, the maintenance processes and best practices that align with overall operational and company objectives;
  • Assist Production Manager with un-scheduled maintenance on company aircraft and remote locations;
  • Provide Production Manager with time lines and scope of work for projects;
  • Work closely with Production Manager to create efficiency and pro-active environment;
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Travel as required


  • Valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Structures License
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Transport Canada approved Structural Technical program.
  • Must have basic knowledge of ground handling equipment.
  • Good hand to eye coordination essential.
  • Must have the ability to work well with hand tools, most power tools.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively with all members of aircrew, GSH personnel, and customers.
  • Must have a positive attitude toward safety and safe working practices.
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Good time management skills are required;
