Chief Engineer
Location: Yellowknife, NT
Position Profile:
- Monitor upcoming maintenance, and work with Production Manager and the Operations department, to plan maintenance.
- Manage Yellowknife’s Hangar Floor maintenance personnel and ensure timelines are met.
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient maintenance areas.
- Be responsible for the positioning of maintenance personnel to accompany field operating aircraft, and satellite base support.
- Perform Training for Engineers, and Pilots with respect to their maintenance duties.
- Maintain Maintenance training records.
- Other tasks, or projects, as determined by the PRM/DOM.
- Work full time hours (8am-5pm) with the ability to work extra hours, and weekends.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Physically fit for work, including but not limited to lifting >50lbs, climbing ladders, extended periods on your feet.
- Motivated self-starter and professional personality, with an eagerness to constantly improve processes.
- Endorsed and 2 years of field experience on Bell 206 and AS350 aircraft.
- Previous Management experience considered an asset.
- Valid and unrestricted Driver’s license, with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Endorsed on Bell 205, 212, and BK117 considered an asset.
- Residing in Yellowknife considered an asset. Relocation support available.
