Facilities Maintainer

Position Profile: 

• Performing highly diversified duties to ensure the efficient and continuous operation of company facilities and wheeled equipment fleet;
• Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, aircraft operational gear, troubleshooting and repair of company facilities and wheeled equipment fleet;
• Maintaining adequate supplies and equipment for facilities and vehicle fleet maintenance;
• Performing necessary work to open clogged sewer lines;
• Responsible for monthly facility safety inspections in accordance with governing regulations;
• Responsible to participate in the company Safety Management System program;
• Responsible for landscaping and the overall esthetic look of GSH property.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Highly motivated and able to work independently;
• Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing;
• Ability to maintain organization of maintenance schedule and files in a changing environment;
• Experience with industrial mobile equipment such as wheeled loaders, forklifts, material handling equipment is an asset;
• Ability to travel to other base locations within and outside the NT;
• Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract;
