Position Profile:

This role is to directly support the Chief Operating Officer in managing day to day activities. The Northern Regional Manager will use his/her strong relationship-building skills to support all operational aspects of the day to day business in the NT and NU. Primary responsibilities include high safety awareness, local knowledge, exceptional oral, written and presentation skills matching a high level of commercial awareness and the flexibility to deal with the demands of safety, providing exceptional customer service and quality while facing financial reality.


Duties Include:

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and assign work, and establish goals and priorities.
  • Identify and provide solutions for operations coordination functions which could impact operations i.e.: maintenance, crew scheduling, and equipment scheduling; fuel caching, general logistics
  • Work closely with flight operations, maintenance, customers, and other agencies/departments on all matters concerning flight operations.
  • Develop and manage the client relationship among new and existing client base, Flight Operations, Maintenance, and bases on initiatives on a local and regional scope.
  • Develop an understanding of clients, both current and potential, business and their process of contracting rotary wing service and challenges.
  • Work closely with Client Services and Contract Manager on customer management and to ensure communication flow through to job dispatches.
  • Monitor activities and provide support to sub-bases throughout the NT and remote locations
  • Assist Director of Operations with the annual and project budgets for submission and/or presentation, including responsibility for monitoring budget throughout the year and making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Assist in facility/asset management at headquarters and sub-bases
  • Other related duties/projects as assigned by the Chief Operating Office and/or designate.


Requirements:

  • Based in Yellowknife, NT
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a VFR helicopter operations/maintenance/dispatch, and working knowledge of aircrafts and capabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Northern field work
  • Experience leading a team, and performing projects
  • Muti-tasking and organizational skills a must
